We have had the privilege to know this "great one" personally for years. But one person present was eager to meet him as he seemed like royalty. Isn't it odd how we can have two different views of the one man? It's a bit like that when it comes to God too. There are those who know ABOUT Him and those who KNOW Him personally. READING FROM THE WORD OF GOD Hasten, O God, to save me, O Lord, come quickly to help me. May those who seek my life be put to shame and confusion. May all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!" turn back because of their shame. But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; May those who love your salvation always say, "Let God be exalted." Psalm 70:1-4 (NIV) Sometimes it may seem that the world is against us. People are conspiring, events are going wrong, our wits are at their end. It's when all other avenues are closed off that most of us pull the "God" cord. Yet for David, that "cord" is used often,in good times as well as in times of crisis. That's how he KNOWS that God is listening. Because He always does! TESTIMONY "On top of runnin' and gunnin', I added drugs and alcohol to my madness until I no longer recognized my face in the bathroom mirror. Even with three wonderful children, my life had no meaning. Because of AA, I was able to stay drug and alcohol free for seven years, but still felt empty inside. I started going to church and would sit in the back and cry. On Easter,I was sitting and crying, listening to the pastor thinking that he was talking directly to me. I was wondering who told him what to say. I suddenly felt the hand of God on my heart. Since that night I have never felt alone and when I pass the mirror today I see a woman with the Lord in her heart and spirit in her eyes." --Peggy.
