Supporting Bali Church [GKPB] Ministries

WEBPASTOR.COM Ministries keenly supports various Christian foundations and ministries in Indonesia - with a special focus on the island of Bali. Our main focus is through the Protestant Christian Church in Bali ("Gereja Kristen Protestan di Bali" [GKPB] ) which we have been linked to since one of our early visits back in 1995.

About The Bali Church

The highest authority in the Bali Church is the Synod Assembly. The Synod Assembly meets every two years and has 180 members. It is formed by delegates of the congregations: one delegate from each mission post, delegates from each congregation (the number varies, depending on the number of confirmed members of each congregation), every active pastor and members of the Synod Council. The main task of the Synod Assembly is to approve church regulations, programs, policy, vision and mission and budget as well as to elect the Chairman, General Secretary and Treasurer of the Synod Council.

The Synod Council has 19 members who meet every 3 months. The Chairman of the Synod is elected and automatically becomes  bishop after the dedication. The Synod Council is supported by the Independent Board of Financial Control and Advisory Board (retired bishops, lawyers and other professionals).
